Carbon and alloy steel surcharges November 2016

Hillfoot bring you an update on surcharges for carbon and alloy steel grades in November 2016.

Following the changes that saw prices for most alloy engineering grades pushed up in October, there is less movement this month.

Hillfoot’s Purchasing Manager Simon Taylor explains: “Surcharges remained largely unchanged into November with Nickel down slightly - £0.25 per 0.1% - from October levels.”

The Scrap price fell by £5.00, meaning slight downward movement for the surcharges on many carbon steel grades.
