A flexible supply agreement gave our customer fast access to multiple steel grades and sizes despite unpredictable demand.

A customer working on a major hydraulic equipment project needed significant volumes of steel but couldn’t accurately predict which grades and sizes would be required or when.

Once required, however, material had to be available within one week. The project also involved country-of-origin restrictions and material supplied pre-sawn.

Hillfoot created a flexible supply agreement supported by our extensive steel stockholding, giving the customer access to the grades and sizes required as the project developed. Pre-sawn material also reduced processing for the customer.

The customer benefited from:

  • Steel available within one week

  • Flexibility across multiple grades and sizes

  • Reduced processing through pre-sawn material

  • Consistent pricing and availability

  • Greater certainty despite unpredictable demand

The outcome

Hillfoot turned an unpredictable requirement into a dependable supply process, helping the customer keep its project moving while maintaining control over availability and cost.
