We are excited to be recruiting to two posts within our Internal Sales team.

The suitable candidates will be working with a defined set of our customers and will be required to create, develop and maintain relationships, drive repeat trading, drive the Team sales budget with a focus on excellent customer service at all times.

In this role you will be required to:
Build key relationships to ensure loyalty, return business and sustained trading.
Deliver a high level of customer service ensuring we maintain our ‘best in class’ position
Evaluate enquiries via telephone
Produce quotations based on agreed commercial policies
Follow up quotations in pursuit of orders and gaining commercial feedback, and respond accordingly
Maximise all enquires/opportunities and apply added value where possible, through product and service differentiation
Develop trading customers and repeat business
Escalate, for support, any potential opportunity for ‘new/repeat/contractual business’, then to follow the ‘Future One’ sales framework
Make proactive customer telephone calls to allocated customer base to create opportunities and orders. (i.e. based on customer underperformance).
Ensure maintenance of individual customer plans and CRM files where necessary
Overcome objection to the achievement of individual and shared KPIs and sales targets
Grow profitability, control costs and maximise efficiency for the suite of allocated transactional accounts
Undertake additional duties as required.
Person Specification: Specialist/Technical
Previous experience of working in a steel stock holding/ manufacturing/ industrial environment is desirable but not essential.
Experience of working in a customer centric role within a sales officeenvironment where the focus is on delivering high levels of customer service.
Experience of engaging with customers, either face-to-face or telephone.
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with KPIs/targets to achieve.
Committed to meeting customer need.
Experience within a sales or commercial function.
Sound understanding of GDPR relating to the function.
Administrative/Organisational
Ability to deal with a variety of daily issues and prioritise own work.
Methodical with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Sets high standards for self.
Communication
Strong and confident communication skills both orally and in writing.
Ability to build strong relationships with people to support successful
collaboration.
Responds positively to change and can adapt quickly.

Professional, knowledgeable and credible.
